Purchasing Policy
Basset Hounds are our hobby and enjoyment not our source of living. Our Bassets are not raised in small pens or kennels. When they are kept in a pen their living area is a full one acre and when the mom's have puppies they are in a isolated are that is 40x70 feet. Our bassets are part of our family and treated as such. We have only three adult bassets and may keep one of the puppies from time to time for showing and breading. But we do not farm puppies thus we have at most 20 puppies a year. So our supply is very limited.
If you wish to purchase a puppy that ready for shipping then we require that the buyer of the puppy must be ready to receive the puppy within 1 week of when the puppy was purchased. Unless other arrangements are made in advance.
For puppies that are too young to ship we will accept a 100 dollar holding fee and the puppy must be ready for receiving within eight to nine weeks of age. We will work to help to select a time that will work best for you.
We guarantee our puppies to be in good shape and in good health. We go to the extreme to make sure that all puppies are in very good health. We wish you to be perfectly happy with your new pet and never regret having purchased a puppy. Each puppy comes with registration papers and a health certificate from a registered veterinarian. And for shipping purposes they will include an acclamation statement with the health certificate. If the puppy becomes ill and due to neglect on our part then we will refund you the purchase price of the puppy.

I personally think that basset hounds are the best dog for you and your family to have. Basset Hounds are not only cute when they are puppies but they are equally as beautiful when they are adults, and they are big beautiful adults. They may be low to the ground, but a healthy adult male will weigh about sixty five pounds or more. I do not wish anyone to buy a Basset Hound not knowing the full expectations that the puppy will have of the owner, nor what the new owner will have when their puppy grows up. Like any animal (but even more so for Bassets) they want attention and they love people. And a Basset hound will let you know (very loudly) when they are not satisfied. And they love to chew. They are pack dogs but very independent and they will ignore you like a Two year old child when they are mad. Please click on the link located at the bottom of this paragraph to learn more about Basset hounds. If you wish to buy a Basset Hound you should know as much about the care and history of Basset hounds as possible.
